GMO-Free Seeds

7 Aug

We used to have a garden, but we don’t have one at our new house yet since we just moved recently.  When I noticed that my husband was getting the rows of soil ready in our yard, I asked him if he wouldn’t mind waiting for me to order some non-GMO seeds online.

I was so very excited to go online this morning and order some GMO-free seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. They have an entire page detailing their committment to open-pollinated, pure, natural and non-GMO seeds.  Also, when you are ordering, each type of seed has a unique description that allows you to understand the origins as well as customer feedback areas. Also, their seeds are a great price.

You can check out their website or click here to order a catalog. Planting your own garden is a great way to ensure that you know exactly what you’re eating.  It’s also a great way to save money, especially if you are committed to buying organic produce.

We ordered tomato, yellow onion, red onion, asparagus, cucumber, zucchini, carrots, pumpkin, a few different varieties of lettuce and some other great veggies.

Once we get our seeds and plant them, I’ll post some pictures and keep you updated on their growth!
