Non-GMO Garden

13 Aug

What a great way to end the week–our GMO-free seeds from www.rareseeds.com arrived today!  We are very excited to begin growing our own natural food.  Hopefully my husband can plant some this weekend–it looks like a fun project and he is ready to go!

I am looking into what it means to be organic (more later) so we can grow our own organic vegetables.  Also, my friend shared with me about the advantages of growing our vegetables using natural farming methods which produce much more nutrient rich produce!

The plus of this is that we will also be more sustainable and less reliant on the grocery store. And hey, maybe that will save us gas money (since we won’t have to drive to the store!)

If we get any good at this, and have a surplus, it would be great to share our organic collection of vegetables with the local community at the farmers’ market.
